Pakistan Higher Education commission announced the Undergraduate Scholarship Programme for Gilgit-Baltistan 2023

Pakistan Higher Education commission has been announced the Undergraduate Scholarship Programme for Students of Gilgit-Baltistan:

The aim of this scholarship for students that they can Study in Top Pakistani Universities and Institutions with their dreams. Applications are invited from outstanding students of Gilgit-Baltistan who intend to pursue undergraduate studies (four/five years BS Programmes) from HEC-recognized public sector Universities/Degree Awarding Institutions (DAls). The Scholarships are being offered for the academic year 2023-24 in all areas of study/disciplines under the project titled, "Undergraduate Scholarship Programme for the students of Gilgit-Baltistan in Top Pakistani Universities/Institutions (Batch-III).

Eligibility Criteria:

a) Applicants must have domicile/local certificate of Gilgit-Baltistan.

b) Applicants must have completed Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC)/Equivalent.

c) Applicants who are already availing any other scholarship are NOT eligible to apply.

d) Maximum age limit is 22 years as on closing date of application submission.

e) The candidates will have to meet HEC and University criteria for admission in BS programmes.

Scholarships Will Cover

a) Tuition Fee, Hostel fee and other charges maximum Rs. 240,000 per year.

b) Stipend of Rs. 15,000 per month.

c) Books and traveling allowances of Rs. 30,000 per annum.

Important Note

a) Candidates will be shortlisted based on their scores in Aptitude Test (to be conducted by Education Testing Council, HEC) and academic credentials.

b) Candidates must secure at least 50% marks in the ETC test.

c) Students already enrolled in any BS Programme in public sector universities/institutions prior to the advertisement (maximum one academic year/ session) may also apply.

d) The award of scholarships will be purely merit-based and irrespective of gender, caste, race, and religion.

e) The applicants can apply to any Public Sector University/Institution of Pakistan. However, any

expenditure over and above the cost given in Project PC-1 will be borne by the student himself/herself.

f) Test Result will be valid for one year after the announcement of Test Result date.

g) HEC reserves the right to postpone or cancel the scholarship process at any stage without assigning any reason.

How to Apply:

a) Applicants are required to submit online application through: https://eportal.hec.gov.pk.

b) Applicants are advised to keep their log in ID and Password safe for future use.

c) Application in Hard form will not be entertained.

d) While applying online, incomplete or only saved applications will not be considered. Students must click on submit after completing application form. Applicants are required to deposit Rs. 500/-

(Non-refundable) in any HBL branch all over Pakistan as application fee in Habib Bank Limited.

Note: It is mandatory to bring original applicant.

copy of paid fee challan on test day along with your Original CNIC/Original Passport, otherwise candidate will not be allowed to sit in the exam.

Last date for receipt of applications is September 30, 2023.
